Simon Stratford

Simon Stratford, a fourth year rabbinic student at HUC-JIR in Cincinnati, is thrilled to be a part of the Jewish Foundation Fellowship once again this year. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, he received a B.A. in social work from Michigan State University before he began his path to the rabbinate. This year as a Jewish Foundation Fellow, Simon is working at the Jewish Family Services of Cincinnati under the supervision of CEO Beth Schwartz MSW, LSW. The focus of Simon’s fellowship experience this year is organizational leadership, where he leads various projects designed to increase organizational capacity and restructuring, strategic planning development, and engagement methods. Simon is proud to be part of the Jewish Foundation Fellowship, as it offers him a more pragmatic learning opportunity as a supplement to his academic studies.
